What started as a dream for Chef Huy, living in a small town in Vietnam, became a reality when immigrating to Canada. He has found joy filling up the bellies of happy customers with the taste from his hometown and was thrilled with the chance to open up a restaurant in the Soo Community. Today, he continues to bring the taste of Vietnam right here in Soo at Pho Max, along with his partner, Thao.

Huy began his journey working in the first established pho restaurant in Hamilton, Ontario. His love for cooking continued after moving to Niagara Falls, utilizing his cooking skills in many pho restaurants across the Niagara Region before opening up his own here, in Sault Ste. Marie.

With Pho Max being a great success since opening in the summer of 2023, they hope to continue to grow not only in their craft, but also in their mark here in Soo.
